The Cool Kids
Don’t you love the cool kids
Who follow the trends they actually like,
Who don’t give up without a fight?
Who are smart and not afraid to show it,
Talented and they know it?
Don’t you love the kids with passion,
Be it cooking, sports, or fashion?
And the kids who like to contemplate,
Who care about the world they make?
Don’t you love the kids who make us laugh,
Who give without asking back?
Who goof off with those closest to them,
Who screw up again and again?
Don’t you love the kids who try to be chill,
But you see a smile break through, still?
The chaotic kids, so full of life,
It’s love or hate, in the blink of an eye.
Don’t you love the kids, unafraid,
Who will gladly look like a fool,
Who are so unashamedly lame
That it makes them cool?
